Goody is a platform and puzzle game from the Spanish company Opera Soft, released for the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Amstrad PCW, MSX and MS-DOS. Sources disagree on the year: the English Wikipedia text gives 1987, while other references give 1988. It was the first game by Gonzalo Suárez Girard, who later made Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines; Carlos A. Díaz de Castro worked on the graphics.
The hero, John Nelson Brainner Stravinsky, known as Goody, is a thief who wants to break into the Bank of Spain. He has to gather the 13 parts of the safe combination and buy tools such as dynamite or a drill with stolen money; picking the wrong tool lands him in jail. In his way stand the policeman Rodríguez, gorillas, ghosts, remote-controlled helicopters and the evil Moon.
Coptron Game Studios released Goody The Remake for Windows and Linux in 2007, and the original returned on Steam on 31 March 2023 as Retro Golden Age - Goody.123
