About old-games.net

old-games.net is an atlas of classic video games and their versions. For each game it records what the game was called in Japan, North America, Europe, Russia and the Spanish-speaking world, when each edition came out, how the versions differ, which translations exist, and where the game can be played legally today.

Who makes it

The atlas is run by a small independent team. We are not affiliated with any game publisher, platform holder or store, and we do not receive payment for listing a service on a game page.

What you will find here

  • A page for each game with regional titles, release dates and publishers.
  • Version differences: censorship, content, difficulty, graphics and other changes between editions, each with a source.
  • Translations: official, pirate and fan versions, with links to project pages only.
  • Where to play legally today, with the date we last checked each listing.
  • Platform pages, a daily guessing game and, in Russian, an index of the folk names Dendy cartridges were sold under.

What you will not find

We do not host ROMs, disc images, patches or any game files, and we do not link to them. See the legal page for details.
