Full Throttle was released under the same title everywhere. The easiest legal way to play it today is Full Throttle Remastered on Steam or GOG, which can switch back to the original 1995 graphics and sound.

Full Throttle is a point-and-click adventure developed and published by LucasArts for MS-DOS and Mac OS on 19 May 1995. Tim Schafer was project leader and head writer; Roy Conrad voiced the hero Ben, and Mark Hamill played the villain Adrian Ripburger. The soundtrack uses songs from The Gone Jackals' album Bone to Pick.

It was the first LucasArts game distributed only on CD-ROM, and it introduced a contextual pie menu for actions. The game runs on the SCUMM engine with elements of the INSANE animation engine from Star Wars: Rebel Assault II.

Two follow-ups were cancelled: Full Throttle 2 in November 2000 and Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels in late 2003. Double Fine Productions released Full Throttle Remastered on 18 April 2017; versions for macOS, iOS, Linux and Xbox One followed.1
