World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck is a platformer that Sega developed and published for the Genesis in December 1992, part of its Illusion series of Mickey Mouse games. In Japan it was called I Love Mickey & Donald: Fushigi na Magic Box, literally Mysterious Magic Box.
The game can be played alone as Mickey or Donald, or by two players together sharing one pool of tries. The two heroes do not follow the same route: Mickey can squeeze through gaps that Donald cannot, so Donald takes other paths into entirely different realms. In two-player mode they stand on each other's shoulders, use ropes, and Mickey pulls Donald through narrow passages. Beating each level's boss teaches a new spell, such as flying on a magic carpet or traveling underwater in an air bubble.
There are five main stages: Enchanted Forest, Among the Clouds, Underwater Adventure, The Library and The Magic Box. The game is one of those included on the Sega Genesis Mini.1
