Wario Land 4 is a Game Boy Advance platformer developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo. It launched first in Japan on August 21, 2001, as Wario Land Advance: Youki no Otakara, then in Australia on November 9 and in Europe on November 16, 2001. The North American date is given differently by sources, but it was also 2001. A Chinese release followed in June 2004.
The game offers three difficulty settings: normal, hard and super hard. Its regional versions are almost identical; the main difference is the first song of the credits medley, sung in Japanese in Japan and in English abroad, and the language option decides which one you hear.
Nintendo later brought the game back on the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program, the Wii U Virtual Console in 2014 and the Game Boy Advance library of Nintendo Switch Online on February 14, 2025.12
