Super Punch-Out!! is the fourth game in Nintendo's Punch-Out!! boxing series and the follow-up to the NES Punch-Out!!. Nintendo IRD (R&D3) developed it alongside Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II, with Genyo Takeda producing. It came out on the SNES in North America in 1994 and in Europe in 1995; sources disagree on the exact North American day.
The player works through 16 opponents across four circuits, and the fourth circuit opens only for players who have never lost. A hidden two-player mode, unlocked with a button code, was revealed only in 2022 and works in every version.
Japan had the oddest release: there was no retail cartridge, and in 1998 the game could only be written onto a rewritable flash cartridge through the Nintendo Power kiosk service. Nintendo spent US$3.5 million marketing the game, and Electronic Arts included it as an unlockable bonus in the GameCube version of Fight Night Round 2.12
