Goof Troop is an action-adventure game that Capcom made for the SNES, based on the Disney animated series of the same name. It was released in North America in July 1993, in Europe later that year and in Japan on 22 July 1994.
The game is one of the first designed by Shinji Mikami, who later worked on Resident Evil; Satoshi Murata co-designed it, and Yuki Iwai composed the music. Its best-known feature is two-player play: one player controls Goofy and the other Max. Goofy is slower but hits harder, while Max moves faster.
For decades the cartridge was the only way to play it. The first re-release came on 26 February 2026, when Atari published Switch and Switch 2 editions of The Disney Afternoon Collection, which added Goof Troop and Bonkers to the compilation.1

Reception
Reviews were generally favorable, with scores ranging from 50/100 (Nintendo Game Zone) to 88/100 (SNES Force). Nintendo Power found the challenge fairly low but the game still fun; Nintendo Life called it an "absolute gem" with a friend but tedious alone.1
