Rocket Knight Adventures kept its name in every region; in Japan it is ロケットナイトアドベンチャーズ (Roketto Naito Adobenchāzu). Today it is easiest to play legally in Rocket Knight Adventures: Re-Sparked, a 2024 collection for Windows (Steam), Switch, PS4 and PS5.

Rocket Knight Adventures is a platform action game that Konami released for the Mega Drive in Japan on 6 August 1993, followed by North America the same month and Europe in September 1993. It was Konami's second release for the Mega Drive. The game was directed and designed by Nobuya Nakazato, who also designed Contra games such as The Alien Wars and Hard Corps.

The hero is Sparkster, an opossum knight armed with a sword and a rocket pack, who fights the Devotindos Empire. Two follow-ups arrived in 1994: Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 on the Genesis and a separate Sparkster game on the SNES.

The regional versions differ mainly in how difficulty is handled. In June 2024 Limited Run Games released Re-Sparked, a collection of all three classic games.12
