Risky Woods is an action platformer made by Spain's Dinamic Software together with Zeus Software and published internationally by Electronic Arts in 1992. It came out on Amiga, Atari ST and MS-DOS, with Dro Soft distributing the computer versions in Spain, and on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, which reached Japan as Jashin Draxos.
The hero starts with an unlimited supply of throwing knives and can buy stronger weapons in a shop between levels. Good and evil monks look exactly alike, so players have to remember where the bad ones stand on later attempts, and the whole game allows only two continues. The backgrounds scroll on several planes and show 32 colours on screen at once, set to music by José Antonio Martín Tello.
Risky Woods was Dinamic Software's last game before the company went bankrupt; Dinamic Multimedia was founded a year later.123

On the Genesis the hero, Rohan, carries a staff and wears a tunic instead of a tank top and trousers, and the Eye-Key and coins were redrawn.1
Reception
Spanish Wikipedia describes the game as very well received on every platform; the Mega Drive version was liked but sold less than the computer versions. In 2017 HobbyConsolas listed Risky Woods among the greatest Spanish games ever made.2
