Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is a role-playing game developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It came out in North America on 17 November 2003 and four days later, on 21 November, in Japan and Europe, where the Japanese edition is titled Mario & Luigi RPG.
The director, Yoshihiko Maekawa, had co-directed Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, and Yoko Shimomura wrote the music. The game was first shown at E3 2003 under the name "Mario and Luigi," and Charles Martinet voiced both brothers. The cartridge also holds an enhanced remake of the Mario Bros. arcade game, the same version found in the four Super Mario Advance titles.
The game returned on the Wii U Virtual Console in 2014 and on Nintendo Switch Online in 2023. A 3DS remake, Bowser's Minions, followed in October 2017.1
