Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu was released in Japan simply as ジャッキー・チェン (Jakkī Chen), on both the Famicom and the PC Engine; the TurboGrafx-16 version reached North America in 1992. No modern re-release was found in the sources checked.

Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu is an action platformer developed by Now Production and published by Hudson Soft. The NES version came out in North America in December 1990. In Japan the game was called ジャッキー・チェン (Jakkī Chen): the PC Engine version arrived on 18 January 1991 and the Famicom version a week later, on 25 January 1991. The TurboGrafx-16 version followed in North America in 1992.

The player controls Jackie Chan, who fights his way through five levels, each ending with a boss, to save his sister. Frogs carry power-ups or rice bowls that restore health, but Jackie has to hit a frog to get its item. He can also charge a beam-like attack up to five times, and collecting 30 green orbs from defeated enemies restores his life and the charged shots.

Bells hidden in the levels open 30-second bonus stages where the player jumps on clouds or hits statues for points. The music was composed by Masakatsu Maekawa.1
